“Colin Powell […] passed away this morning due to Covid-19. He was fully vaccinated,” the statement reads.
The family says goodbye: “We have lost an amazing and loving husband, father, grandfather and a great American.”
Powell lived to be 84 years old. His tenure included the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
