The incident is said to have happened early on Saturday morning, Thames Valley Police informed. According to the report, the intruder was apprehended by security guards after he breached the security perimeter around the Queen’s residence at around 8.30am. “We can confirm that security processes were triggered immediately and the man did not enter any buildings,” confirmed Superintendent Rebecca Mears. Exactly what weapon the young man was carrying is unclear at this time. However, members of the royal family have been briefed on the incident, she said.
