In the Corona pandemic, it has not been easy, especially for families with children. Because lockdown and no contact have been a huge burden for these families. For this reason, a federal ministry is now offering a 90% discount on the next family vacation. First, however, it must be checked whether the families meet the specified conditions.
State pays German families holiday trip within Germany
During the Corona pandemic, especially the families with children had to endure harsh restrictions. In part, the lives of families were then limited to their own four walls. During this time, no vacation was then possible because of sometimes sharp restrictions. For this reason, the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMFSFJ) will now offer the unique opportunity for German families to take a holiday in Germany almost free of charge. Therefore one introduced there now the Corona time-out for families, this program takes over then up to 90% of the costs of the next vacation. However, there are also some conditions for participation in the holiday.
Who has claim to the almost free vacation?
Who plays now with the thought to put an application on a Corona time-out for the own family, which should make however first a short on-line check with the Tool offered by the BMFSFJ. There, anyone interested can find out right away whether the bureaucratic effort will be worth it. For this purpose, only various data of the family have to be entered in the tool. These include main residence, number of people, children in the household,
gross household income and the social benefits received.
At the end, the data is evaluated and you get the answer whether you have a claim to the reimbursement of 90% of the cost of the next family holiday in Germany. The offer will remain valid until December 31, 2022. The actual request will then be made either by email or hotline.
