Will a microchip under the skin replace the yellow vaccination card? More and more people are having chips inserted with their vaccination data!

The Corona pandemic is getting out of hand, and one of the popular conspiracy theories is that vaccination will inadvertently inject us with a microchip. Now a vaccination chip might indeed be coming – but in a different way than thought! In Sweden this is already a new trend!

People are having corona vaccine chips implanted!

Amid new COVID restrictions, people are being implanted with microchips that include vaccination data! A new trend is taking root. According to local media reports, more and more people in Sweden are having microchips implanted that contain their COVID-19 vaccination data. A recent video published by Stockholm’s Aftonbladet newspaper showed a person having a microchip inserted near the thumb on his right hand, a procedure that was quickly performed.

The newspaper’s video also featured other people who said they had the microchips inserted into their hand, arm or chest. These individuals then used their smartphones to detect the presence of the chip, or swiped the part of their body that contained the chip across the door sensors to demonstrate how it worked.

Chips to make entry easier

The decision to have the microchips implanted under the skin is “growing in popularity” and comes at a time when pandemic regulations are being tightened for the winter, according to Aftonbladet.

Last month, the Swedish Health Authority issued guidelines for indoor gatherings of more than 100 people ahead of the winter holidays. If these events do not require proof of vaccination, organizers are asked to assign seating to attendees, take social distancing measures and limit the number of groups sitting together to eight or fewer people. For events where proof of vaccination is required, a “routine” for checking participants’ vaccination records should be established.

80% vaccination rate in Sweden!

Nearly 80 percent of people eligible for COVID-19 vaccination in Sweden have been fully vaccinated, according to government data. Public health officials in Sweden recently urged the country’s citizens to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as the virus continues to spread internationally. Those encouragements continued when Swedish officials reported earlier this week that Omicron, the latest strain classified by the World Health Organization as a “variant of concern,” had been detected in Sweden.

The general trend of implanting microchips with personal information under the skin has developed in recent years and gained popularity in Sweden. There, people have begun using the chips to gain access to their homes, offices, gyms and more without keys.

A 2018 NPR report said the microchips are about the size of a single grain of rice and have become so popular that one of the main companies that makes them has had trouble keeping up with demand. In 2017, a Swedish rail company began allowing travelers to upload their ticket information onto microchips implanted in their bodies, according to BBC News. Train conductors could then recognize the chip via smartphone and confirm passengers’ tickets.
