So funktioniert die Formel der alten Griechen: Das Gesicht einer Person wird segmentiert und im Verhältnis zu anderen gesetzt. Länge wird durch Breite geteilt und je näher das Ergebnis an 1,6 liegt, umso “schöner” ist ein Gesicht. So erreichen beispielsweise Pattersons Kinn, seine Augenposition sowie seine Nase jeweils 95 Prozent – am Ende landet er im Durschnitt bei 92,15 Prozent Makellosigkeit.

Damit verweist er einige der ganz großen männlichen Promi-Schönheiten auf die Plätze: Mit minimalem Rückstand landet Henry Cavill (36, “The Witcher”) auf Platz zwei – der Amerikaner bringt es auf 91,64 Prozent. Mathematisch betrachtet hat er zwar eine fast perfekte Stirn (98 Prozent), dafür kostet ihm seine Nase, die es auf 88,2 Prozent bringt, den Spitzenplatz.

Dritter ist Bradley Cooper (45, “A Star is Born”) dessen allgemeine Gesichtsform (81,7 Prozent) ihm eine bessere Platzierung verwehrt. Über eine Gesamtwertung von 90 Prozent bringt es sonst nur Brad Pitt (56, “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”). Der Macher der Studie, Dr. Julian De Silva, streicht laut “Daily Mail” die Besonderheit dieser Positionierung heraus: “Auf dieser Liste mit 56 Jahren zu landen ist unglaublich und spricht für seine zeitlose Schönheit.”

George Clooney (58, “Money Monster”) führt die Liste derjenigen an, die es mit unter 90 Prozent auf die Liste schaffen – seine “zu kleine” Stirn (82 Prozent) sorgt für eine Gesamtwertung von 89,9 Prozent. Die Top Ten komplettieren Hugh Jackman (51, “X-Men: Apocalypse”) mit 89,6 Prozent, David Beckham (44) ist mit 88,9 Prozent siebter, Idris Elba (47, “Murdah Loves John”) bringt es als achter auf genau 88 Prozent, Kanye West (42, “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy”) ist neunter und Ryan Gosling (39, “First Man”) komplettiert die mathematisch zehn schönsten Männer des Showgeschäfts.
