Man o’ man, es hätte ja so eine gute Zusammenarbeit werden können. Der Eine (OnePlus) baut gute Hardware und der Andere (Cyanogen) gute Software.
Aber irgendwie sollte es mit diesen Beiden in Kombination wohl nicht sein. Wie von mir bereits im Artikel OnePlus One OxygenOS mit Android 5.0.2 ist fertig in der Vergangenheit berichtet wurde, denn zu groß waren wohl die Unstimmigkeiten beider Firmen. Aus diesen Grund hat OnePlus auch die wichtigsten Entwickler des bekannten AOSP-ROMs Paranoid-Android abgeworben, um sein eigenes ROM zu programmieren, das OxygenOS.
Jetzt nach sehr langer Verzögerung ist das versprochene CyanogenMod 12.1 endlich auch für das OnePlus One fertig. Die CM12.1 basiert dann auf der aktuellesten Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Version. Das OTA-Update soll bereits verteilt werden. Eine manuelle Installation ist ebenfalls möglich:
- Vollversion
- inkrementelles Update
Aber nicht wundern, denn nach dem Update ist die Startseite im Browser jetzt Bing statt Google eingerichtet. Hier schleicht sich wohl die neue Verbindung zwischen Cyanogen und Microsoft ein. Finde ich jetzt nicht so dolle aber die Startseite kann ja auch wieder angepasst werden.
Laut Forum gibt es aber aktuell noch diese Bugs:
Bugs (so far):
– No mobile network after a clean flash*
– “No service” or “Emergency Calls Only” message on lockscreen*
– Network signal is very unstable*
– Compass inaccurate for some users – Rotating the phone to calibrate the compass may fix this
– Some Quick Toggles are missing when enabled – Re-adding the Quick Toggles fixes this
– Video playback bug is still present
– When AudioFX is enabled and using Bluetooth in the car, Google Maps Navigation will quiet music, but not actually be heard over Google Play Music or Spotify. With AudioFX disabled it functions normal
– Third party camera bug; pictures contain tearing when flash is turned on
– App crashes – Fixed by clearing data/cache of the app*Resetting APN settings to default may fix these issues (Settings > Mobile networks > Access point names > Reset to default).
NOTE: Cyanogen seems to have pulled the update from the servers. You can still download both the OTA and full flashable zip from the official links though. Not sure why it was pulled, only time will tell.
