Für “Will & Grace” geht es einmal mehr zu Ende

“Es ist an der Zeit”

Schon wieder heißt es Abschied nehmen! Die Weiterführung der Sitcom “Will & Grace” wird nach drei Staffeln eingestellt. “An die besten Fans der Welt, […], wir wollten euch mitteilen, dass das die letzte Staffel des Reboots sein wird. Das Kreativteam kam zusammen und wir haben uns entschieden, dass es an der Zeit ist”, schrieb Darstellerin Debra Messing (50) auf Instagram. Auch ihr Kollege Eric McCormack (56) meldete sich zu Wort: “Staffel drei von Will & Grace (na gut, Staffel 11) wird unser Grand Finale… und es wird fantastisch.”

Von 1998 bis 2006 produzierte der US-Sender NBC acht Staffeln der Serie. 2017 folgte dann eine neunte Staffel mit der Originalbesetzung, die auch in den beiden Folgestaffeln erhalten blieb. Die achtzehnteilige dritte Staffel wird nächstes Jahr gesendet, ein genauer Starttermin steht allerdings noch aus. Doch Darsteller Sean Hayes (49) lässt “Will & Grace”-Fans auf Instagram mit einem Augenzwinkern hoffen: “Wir sehen uns in zehn Jahren für den dritten Anlauf.”

ANNOUNCEMENT~ to the best fans IN THE WORLD, W&G fans, we wanted to tell you that this will be the last season of the Reboot. The creative team (pictured) got together and we decided it was the right time. We were so lucky to have the opportunity to reunite and do the show AGAIN. It was only supposed to be 10 episodes, but because of you, the fans, it has turned into 3 YEARS. What a miracle. We are all committed to making this season the best ever, and to wrap up the story of Will, Grace, Jack and Karen in a way that feels meaningful and right.
