If it wasn’t all so sad, you’d almost have to laugh! Now Santa Claus is also going down the tubes – he has violated the Corona requirements!
An opponent of the Corona policy dressed as Santa Claus has clashed with police in Stralsund. Police said Thursday evening that the man violated Corona requirements at a rally because he was not wearing a mask and did not maintain minimum distances when handing out candy to children. When officers tried to determine his identity after repeated requests to comply, the man pushed the officers away.
As it turned out, it was a 47-year-old man who had already attracted the attention of the officers on the two previous Thursdays in Stralsund and again did not comply with the requirements of the assembly authorities. The man was now charged with suspicion of resistance against law enforcement officers and a violation of the assembly law.
In addition, two suspects attempted to steal license plates from police cars during the assembly. Criminal police therefore opened an investigation against them.
In total, about 500 people attended the rally, according to authorities. Apart from the Santa Claus in disguise, most of the participants adhered to the Corona regulations.
