Woman fakes Corona test – so family won’t visit for Christmas! And the internet celebrates you for it!

Internet supports woman faking COVID to prevent family visit for Christmas! Not everyone is a Christmas fan! Here’s everything you need to know about the unbelievable event!

Not a family fan!

A woman shared on a popular online forum that she was considering faking a positive COVID test to get uninvited family members to leave early – and won the internet’s support. In a post on British parenting forum Mumsnet, user glacialseafoam vented her frustration at both sides of the family inviting each other over for Christmas.

In a post that received over 100 responses, glacialseafoam asked, “WIBU (would it be unreasonable) to fake a positive COVID test to get everyone to fuck off?”

Family of 7 dogs

He continued, “I don’t even know if this is a joke or not, I’m so annoyed. Both sides of the family have invited themselves for hours tomorrow, plus dinner (and breakfast, and lunch with seven dogs). “Also, they came over to the kids’ house tonight to bring them packages for Christmas Eve and pajamas and so on. I walked the dog for an hour and a half to get some distance, and they were still there.

Schiwegermother sucks

.

“Honestly, no one is pleasant company and I really can’t be arsed. MIL (mother-in-law) apparently shows up at 7:30 with her dripping partner to ‘watch the kids open their presents’. She won’t be leaving until after dark. She did, however, bring a cheap toffee pudding and a tin of custard.”

The post goes on to say, “The last thing I want to do tomorrow is cook for 16 (fussy and uninvited) people. And they all wonder why I don’t like Christmas. It’s the same thing every year. I can’t tell them to leave us alone for the day or just come for an hour or something, it would cause so much drama.

The families don’t even like each other

.

“We see both sides of the family all the time to make a connection. They don’t even really like each other. F***’s sake.”

Since the post was published on Christmas Eve, it has received 120 responses, many of which supported the woman’s plan.

One commenter wrote: “Do it and then next year say you realised how much stress it is when you don’t have to cook and host, so you’ve decided that in future you’ll have a quiet Christmas to just enjoy the day.

Another added: “Fake it now and alert everyone. Just remember to be quiet and have a stress free day.”

A third commenter wrote: “I wouldn’t blame you. But you’ll still have the same problem next year. I know it’s not easy, but could you tell them it’s too much and you want to at least spend some time with just your immediate family? It’s really not unreasonable to ask the visitors to at least let you have Christmas morning to yourself before they walk all over you.”

The dilemma is similar to that of another woman who was showered with support on the internet after sharing her frustration at her in-laws inviting themselves over the day before Christmas.

In a post shared on Monday, user Magnoliasstreet reported that her in-laws came to visit uninvited and received support from her fellow forum members.

One commented, “I had that once too. It was really annoying. It’s incredibly rude to force yourself on someone without an invitation.”
