Austria goes into 100% lockdown!
This is a doozy! Our neighboring country Austria is completely shutting down and even a mandatory vaccination could be coming! The Austrian government has agreed with the provinces on a lockdown for ALL, as reported by “oe24”, “Krone”, “Kurier” and “Standard”. It will apply throughout Austria for ten days starting Monday and can be extended again for a maximum of ten days. However, the schools are to remain open.
What happens next?
Austria Chancellor Alexander Schallenberg (52, ÖVP) will tell at a press conference at 10.15 am how the further way of the Austrians looks like. What is certain is that the lockdown will continue after the maximum of 20 days for the unvaccinated, as reported by the Krone.
