Vaccinations do not offer 100 percent safety
Recently, medical experts had observed in intensive care units that even isolated patients would have to be admitted there who had already been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus. But this is not a surprise, as the vaccinations do not provide completely sterile protection against infection with the virus. Instead, the main focus is on preventing severe courses and deaths. But even here the effect is not one hundred percent! Sporadically, severe courses of the disease also occur in vaccinated persons. However, this is only the case in very rare cases. Most likely a vaccination breakthrough is in older patients and people with a limited immune response. Currently, about only 1 in 10 patients in intensive care units have been vaccinated. The remaining 9 patients have not received a vaccination.
Intensive care physicians confirm possible severe corona course in vaccinated
So there is no complete guarantee of a mild course even in vaccinated people. Recently, the proportion of these cases had increased. This is also shown by the data of the Robert Koch Institute (RKI). For example, in the period from mid-August to early September, the German Department of Health registered 1,186 Corona cases that received “intensive medical care.” Of these patients, 119 had been vaccinated. This represents 10.03 percent of all intensive care patients. However, the increase in numbers in recent days can be explained by the fact that the number of those vaccinated continues to rise. According to this, it is therefore nothing unusual that one or the other vaccinated person is among the intensive care patients.
