A woman from the district of Hersfeld-Rothenburg apparently sent her underage daughter to school, although she knew that she herself had contracted the insidious corona virus. Now the district court has sentenced the woman to pay a fine of 300 euros.
This misconduct cost a mother from the district of Hersfeld-Rothenburg real money. The woman had infected herself with the insidious coronavirus and still insisted that her underage daughter continue to go to school. The case had taken place shortly before the summer holidays. Because of the suspicion of corona infection, the woman had tested herself and her daughter for Covid-19 with a rapid test, While her own test had come out positive, the daughter’s test had come out negative. Subsequently, the woman had also had a PCR test done on her daughter. However, she did not wait for the result, but sent the child to school. Subsequently, the PCR test had confirmed the infection of the daughter with Corona.
At first, the district of Hersfeld-Rotenburg had imposed a fine of 500 euros because of this. But the woman had then appealed against this, so that the case had to be heard in court. The local court came to the conclusion that the woman had violated the Infection Protection Act with her behaviour. Because of her own positive test, the woman would also have had to isolate her daughter in the house, a court spokesman explained. At the court hearing, the woman had then shown herself to be reasonable and remorseful. Therefore, the court had decided to reduce the fine to 300 euros. In the meantime, the decision of the district court is legally binding.
