The current year has not exactly been easy for Prince Charles either. In addition to the Corona pandemic and the death of his father, the heir to the British throne has recently had to worry a lot about the health of his mother, Queen Elizabeth. But apparently Charles has also continued to mature during this difficult period. Some nobility experts now see him finally ready to ascend to the English throne.
For a long time, Prince Charles’ relationship with his British subjects was anything but good. Years later, the prince still suffers from the scandals surrounding his failed marriage to Princess Diana, who was extremely popular with the people. But since the death of his father Prince Philip, the tide now seems to turn in Charles’ favor. Because lately the heir to the throne had been given more and more tasks by his mother. All of a sudden Charles even managed to appear popular and sympathetic. And it turns out that people interpret this change positively, even if Charles was never really popular with the British. Given Queen Elizabeth’s failing health, many expect Charles to soon be in charge of the English monarchy’s fortunes. With recent reports of health problems for the Queen, there is now already speculation of a slow retirement for the monarch. Even a complete resignation of Queen Elizabeth the Royal experts do not want to rule out completely. Journalist Neev Spencer, at any rate, believes that Prince Charles is now finally ready to take over the English throne.
Because the Queen has also had it anything but easy in recent months. “She’s been through the pandemic, which actually means she’s 115, which we’ve all aged about 25 years in the last 20 months,” Neev Spencer posits. Right now, the Queen is working out of her home office. But despite her extremely high sense of duty, one should not forget that the English monarch is now already 95 years old. For this reason, the royal expert believes the time has now come to set the course for the future. “She should just enjoy the last 5, 6 years of her life,” finds Neev Spencer and thus clearly advocates a changing of the guard at the head of the British monarchy. And of course, the nobility expert also has a suitable candidate: “I think Prince Charles is ready and I think he can handle it,” Spencer is confident. When exactly the change will take place, however, is solely in the hands of the British royal family. So is the long-awaited moment for Prince Charles coming soon?
