A curious accident occurred on Saturday evening on the A1 near Hollenstedt in the district of Harburg. There, a sailboat had literally “capsized” on the motorway after a car and trailer had crashed. Fortunately, no one had been injured in the accident.

On Saturday, a rather spectacular accident occurred on the A1 motorway. The unusual operation confirmed police and firefighters from Hollenstedt in the district of Harburg (Lower Saxony). There it was on Saturday evening at about 19.45 clock on the A1 in the direction of Bremen to an accident. A 51-year-old motorist was driving his car and had coupled a trailer to his vehicle, on which he was transporting a sailboat. But then his car skidded for reasons that have not yet been explained. In the process, the trailer also tipped over, so that the sailboat finally landed on the highway. This had then presented a curious sight to passing motorists.

Unfortunately, there were no injuries in the accident. The driver of the passenger car had escaped with a scare. The amount of property damage caused in the accident is not yet known. To recover the stranded sailboat, the A1 had to be temporarily closed in the direction of Bremen.
