Simply save the vaccination certificate on the Iphone! New functions after update!

Apple Wallet now allows users to add their COVID-19 vaccination certificates! Apple now allows users to add their COVID-19 vaccination card to the Wallet app for easy access to their vaccination record.

New features after update!

The new update came after Apple announced last month that it would soon roll out an iOS update that allows users to download and store verifiable health data in the Wallet app, including COVID-19 vaccination records. The trade press reports that the feature was rolled out on Monday with Apple’s iOS 15.1 update.

Once added to the Wallet app, vaccination cards can be viewed and presented at any time, Apple said in a statement. The front of the card includes the user’s name, type of vaccine, date of administration, issuer and a QR code.

Full data must first be verified

.

However, the full details of the card cannot be accessed until the device is unlocked via Face ID, Touch ID or a passcode.

In addition, the vaccine cards cannot be shared with other iPhone, iPod Touch or Apple Watch users, the company said.

Immunization cards can be uploaded to the app via a QR code from a COVID-19 vaccination or testing provider, via a downloadable file of verified health data from a provider, or via an existing verifiable immunization record in the Health app, the company said.

Apple also announced that with the iOS 15 update, users will be able to save verifiable versions of their COVID-19 vaccine and test results in the company’s Health app on iPhones and iPod Touches.

The vaccine and test result records will be downloaded in a verifiable format and digitally signed by the provider of the vaccine or test, the company said.

Apple said the software is “similar to providing paper documents with an official seal.”
