Nach langer zeit ist es nun endlich soweit. Das OxygenOS 2.1.4 ist endlich auch für das OnePlus One verfügbar.
Das wurde jetzt im offiziellen OnePlus Forum vom Team bekannt gegeben. Lange haben sich die Besitzer des OnePlus One darüber beschwert, dass sie keine Updates mehr für das Smartphone erhalten haben.
Das ändert sich jetzt mit dem aktuellen Firmware von OxygenOS. Laut OnePlus hat das solange gedauert, weil man einige Funktonen, wie MaxxAudio Technologien, Anwendungen, den manuellen Kameramodus mit RAW-Funktion, Fingerabdrucksensor-Unterstützung und den Bildschirm-Einstellungen entfernen musste, da es vom OPO nicht unterstützt wird.
Kein OTA-Update möglich
Wichtig zu wissen für euch ist, dass es dafür keine OTA-Update geben wird. Das ist technisch nicht möglich via OTA vom offiziellen CyanogenOS auf OxygenOS umzusteigen. Darauf weist auch OnePlus im Forum offiziell hin:
As OxygenOS for the OnePlus One is a community-sourced project, the package containing OxygenOS 2.1.4 is not available via OTA and will require manual flashing. Fortunately, replacing your pre-existing operating system should be no more challenging than grilling a strip of bacon.

Dazu müsst Ihr euch das vollständige OxygenOS ROM aus dem offiziellen Forum-Link herunterladen und manuell installieren.
Ganz wichtig:
Es ist nicht möglich das ROM per TWRP Custom-Recovery zu installieren!
Auch darauf weist man im Forum hin, andernfalls verliert man seine IMEI und den Empfang des Gerätes!

Download the appropriate file for your system and follow the instructions. Please note you will lose all your data. Also, do not try to flash this build through TWRP. You will most likely lose your radio and IMEI which means a trip to our customer support. It won’t lead to thermonuclear war but just don’t do it.
