Tragic death in Cuxhaven – pre-sick child died shortly after second vaccination against coronavirus

In Cuxhaven, Lower Saxony, a tragic death is currently causing a stir. There, a twelve-year-old child is said to have died two days after the second vaccination against the coronavirus. First assumptions assume that this death is connected with the vaccination. Now an autopsy is to bring clarity.

This case could give the vaccination skeptics in Germany new food. Because now it is reported about the death of a child (12) who died only two days after his Corona second vaccination. Because the death of the child is in direct temporal connection to the vaccination, the responsible health office of the city requested the autopsy of the corpse. This was reported on Wednesday from the circle of the authority. Although the final report of the autopsy is not yet available, a preliminary protocol of the autopsy assumes that the death of the child is indeed related to the vaccination. This was confirmed by a spokesman for the Lankkreis in a statement. However, since the child had also suffered from other previous illnesses, another cause of death could not yet be completely ruled out, according to the Institute of Forensic Medicine of the University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf. Up-to-date one waited still for the results of the fine fabric examinations. On, Thursday then final results are expected.

Such deaths of children and adolescents in connection with the Corona vaccination are extremely rare. Since the start of vaccinations, there have been only 5 suspected cases in Germany in which children died between 2 and 24 days after a Corona vaccination. A total of 3 of the children also had severe pre-existing conditions. “We see ourselves confronted here with a particularly tragic case”, confirms Der Cuxhavener health authority boss Kai Dehne. Because side effects with deaths occur extremely rarely. “But the affected family hits it with all ruthlessness to one hundred percent. To the relatives belongs my deepest sympathy”, clarifies Dehne further. As it is said, the district has now published this case even without a final autopsy result, because in the social networks already rumors and assumptions are made regarding the incident.
